Updating DNS Numbers in Windows ME
- Click on Start - Go to Settings - Click on Dial-Up
Networking.

- Right Click on the CTOL icon, and click Properties
at the bottom of the menu.

- Next, Click on the Networking tab at the top of the screen.

- Once on the Networking tab, make sure Enable software
compression at the top is checked, and also TCP/IP at the bottom.
Once these are checked, click on the button to the right of TCP/IP,
that says TCP/IP Settings.

- In the box that opens, click on the white circle to the left of Specify
name server addresses. This will move the black dot into the circle, and
open the boxes below. In the box to the right of Primary DNS, there
are 3 periods, with 0's. Click to the right of the last 0, and backspace all
of the 0's out. After the 0's are gone, type in 216.135.0.10 with the
periods (216 period 135 period 0 period 10). Once this is done, go down one
line, next to Secondary DNS, and type in 216.135.1.10 (216 period 135
period 1 period 10). Click OK at the bottom of this box.

Your system is now configured properly.
